Goodwill Industries Of North Florida Breaks Ground In Fast Growing North St. Johns County

Goodwill Industries of North Florida, Inc. held a ground breaking ceremony this morning, to mark the start of construction of its new Durbin Creek Store, located at 1195 St. Johns Parkway in St. Johns, Florida.

 

The project is being developed by the Piedmont Companies of Florida and built by Paul Bush, local owner of Bush Construction Company, Inc.  The free standing 16k SF building, Goodwill’s 8th flagship model store; boasts a large and bright sales floor, large back-room for processing donations, plenty of parking and a convenient canopy covered drive-thru for customers to donate their gently used items, without having to leave their cars.

 

“The residents of St. JohnsCounty have been generous supporters of Goodwill and we are excited to be part of the community’s phenomenal growth.  Our retail stores are the economic engine which supports our mission, to train and employ individuals with barriers to employment. This store will employ 20-25 people and we hope to open our doors in early December” said Goodwill President and CEO, David Rey.
